This morning started with me waking up and immediately thinking about my current project. And the fact that I probably won't be able to finish it. Michael decided to go back out on the road and now I am in a rush to get my stuff together for a trip with him and clean up my current craft mess. But anyway, I wanted to show progress on my little "Kyrin" sculpt and that I am painting her hair even before I finished her limbs simply because I wanted to paint her hair so badly.
She was a pretty light kit, so I did have to add some colour to her.
Light mottling veining and creases. Then I added my special layer on her nose, bridge and above her lips to give a rough texture
Here is her hair partially painted.
I had to use flash to find all the finer details that I have tried to depict. I am a very visual learner and after seeing some photos and practicing, I think that I have a good understanding of some basic realistic elements when trying to recreate the individual hairs
Like I said, she is a work in progress and I really hope that I will be able to complete her before we leave. Then I can take her with me and work on her little outfits that I want to make for her.
I was going to start on my two other kits before I decided to go out with Michael this time around, but they will be here when I get back.
