Learning curve

Here are some of my very first babies

Morgan by Aleina Peterson
Baby #1
She was such a fun project.
I have to say that I learned sooooo much with Morgan.
Even though she is super cute in this picture, I can see that I have made so much progress over time.

But I do think that my photography skills have always been pretty good, I know that I've improved so much.

Holly by Donna Rubert
"Kinley"
Baby #2

With Kinley, I think I fell in love with reborning.
Her expression is so sweet and I could see her even before I finished.

Still, I knew I would improve and learn a lot.
I even started experimenting with different techniques since then.

"Gabe"
Kyle by Pat Moulton baby #8

And as you can see, both technique and photography have improved drastically.
I have painted more babies than I have counted and included. You see my mother in law reborns as well, and I have helped her with painting techniques and have helped with her custom orders as well.
I will have to show you a custom order next time.

Bye for now!! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello and Welcome

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Jennifer and I am the artist behind Southern Belle Babies.
I used to be Pink Twinkle Sprite Studios, but I really felt as if that didn't convey the elegance and quality that I seek in my craft.
And it was simply too hard to say all at once! It was quite a mouthfull.
I have been hard at work thinking about the name of my reborn nursery and my brilliant husband came up with this wonderful concept.
He is a lover of fine things and we both enjoy priding ourselves on quality, high-standard workmanship. Being from the south, there was simply no other option but Southern Belle Babies.
I do believe it will be a perfect match!!
At the moment I am working on setting up my website www.southernbellebabies.com, setting up a new Etsy profile, and writing for both and my blog as well, so I am multitasking, yay!

Thank you for visiting and have a blessed week!!
